RVK
in the course of its of Operation realized
the need of modernization of "ARTIFICIAL
LIMBS CENTER" as per latest R &
D process to change over to more flexible,
comfortable products developed by ALIMCO
a Govt. sponsored ARTIFICIAL LIMBS CENTER.
Simultaneously it has further conceived
the need of expanding the activities of
the center making " On Wheels Project
" for identifying the location in various
JJ clusters & other sites in NCR Delhi
Territory for sending the RVK Van with Orthotic
technicians for taking measurements, fabrications
tailor- made artificial limbs & testing
their fit on spot & training the beneficiaries
to learn how to walk with their new limbs.
This will be on going project duly supported
by matching grants of R.I. in due course
of time with the supports of R.I. District
3011 & developed philanthropists.

RVK
is in process of expanding occupational
and physiotherapy services to cover-up more
specialized therapies namely installation
of laser (therapeutic infradiodic laser)
, cellulite heat therapy, various body parts
exerciser, trade meal jogger and EMG retranter
etc.

plans to take up CBR reaching people with
disability in JJ colonies, slums, resettlement
colonies & villages around Delhi basically
and further in the territory of NCR of Delhi.
The programme will concentrate on four areas
of development for people of disability
viz. health, education, skill training cum
employment conscientization
To implement the community based rehabilitation
of people with Disabilities, RVK will collaborate
with CBR Forum, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital,
St. Stephens Hospital, Delhi Heart &
Lungs Institute, Dr.Shofrff Charitable Eye
hospital, Institute of physically handicapped,
other similar Institutes & organizations
looking after interest of mentally retarded
& challenged, speech & hearing impaired
& visually impaired etc. as well as
Govt. Deptt.
